Marion and her Family

Whilst practising as both an NHS and Independent Midwife over the last eight years, it has been increasingly noticeable just how much women and their families have to source and buy in preparation for the birth of their babies

The variety of my work has given me the opportunity to meet other Midwives and Mothers from a wide cultural background and geographical area, including Europe, where I have seen new and practical ideas.

These experiences inspired me to look at the way we prepare for Birth, and to offer affordable essential solutions to help you prepare for the arrival of your baby, either with our pre- packed kits or designing your own from our individual products page, and honest impartial birth preparation workshops in some areas.

The difference between us and other companies that provide this service is that we don't include the things that we feel are your personal taste, such as aromatherapy oils, energy food and your baby's first clothes....

We may endeavour to take the drudgery out of preparing for your Birth, but there is fun in shopping for your luxuries.

Meeting up with other Independent colleagues also highlighted the problems faced acquiring smaller quantities of clinical equipment and accessories.  We have also included a password protected page for our fellow practitoners, which can be accessed by e mailing info@stork-club.co.uk

Family Planning

Getting pregnant is often not as predictable as we would like it to be, as is waiting for the right time to start a family.

Family planning can also be a grey area with lotions and potions promising fertility miracles

Our small range of test kits are CE marked and approved and used by health care professionals in both NHS and private sector, and our range of condoms and lubricants are trusted brands

All of our items come with full instructions, and our e mail support offers sound, impartial and evidence based answers and advice from qualified practitioners.

In my time practising as an Independent Midwife, I have met many wonderful Midwives, as well as other dedicated supporting professionals.   Many of us do not have the spending power of bigger organisations, whcih is why we have included this special Clinical section, which is designed to offer the best possible prices for smaller quantities

Postage and Packaging

Our Postage and Packing Prices depend on how much you spend with us.  We offer free shipping on orders over £50

up to 1.99p         0.99p

£2.00 - £4.99     £1.95

£5.00 - £9.99     £3.95

£10.00 - 49.99   £5.95

over £50   FREE

This is automatically calculated at the checkout, but if we feel that the postage is a little high for the items you have ordered, we will adjust this and give you a refund

Paying For Your Items

Our current method of payment is Paypal, but if you would like to e mail an order, we can send you an invoice to pay by credit card without opening a PayPal account.

We can also take credit / debit card payments by phone.. including American Express.

You can also pay by electronic transfer.  If you would prefer to do this, please let us know and we can send you a separate invoice for payment

You can also visit our office and pay by Cash or Card.  We are in the heart of beautiful ancient Rutland.  If you would like to visit in person, please let us know so that we can make sure that someone is here to meet you

Unfortunately, we no longer accept cheques

Returns

Due to the nature of many of our products, we only accept returns of genuinely faulty items, items that are in original packaging with no damage, or in exceptional or mitigating circumstances.  If you wish to discuss a return, please e mail info@stork-club.co.uk

As Health Care Professionals, we are closely regulated by our Professional bodies.  Therefore, please be assured that any advice that we give is impartial and evidence based, in line with our Professional Code of Conduct.
